Kathie & Kellie Stanley - Owners of KS2

Kathie and Kellie are the owners of KS2 Ecological Field Services, LLC. They have 38 years of combined ecological field experience in 14 different states though out the Untied States and have worked with different companies such as MWH, Shepherd Miller, Compa, Texas Tech University and Colorado State University. They have worked on Military Bases, Mines, National Parks and Privately Owned Lands. Most the work they have done deals with vegetation but they also done ground and surface water sampling , Insect sampling, fish sampling, river surveying, and wetland delination. They have also set up several ecological field experiments through out the US. They have done Mammal and birding surveys.

Examples of work done:

Surveyed endangered and threatened plant species. Monitored vegetation by using line point transects, belt transect, line intercept, frequency frames, biomass clipping, quadrate to determined cover and density of plant species: general surveying of plant species and vegetation mapping.

Ground water sampling primarily conducted at mine site using Grundfos Pump and Water Level Meters: surface water sampling conducted on large and small rivers and ponds using peristaltic pumps. Have used pH meters, dissolved oxygen meters, portable turbidity meters, and conductivity meters.

They have identified and sampled insect, soil sampling on mines and collections of soil to determine soil texture.  Fish sampling conducted on freshwater streams using Electro Shocker Pack and river vegetation surveys.
