Cade Coldren - Senior Ecologist

Co-developer of the Ecological Dynamics Simulation (EDYS) model.  This computer model has been applied at 35 locations in the United States, Australia, and Indonesia for the US Army Corps of Engineers, Natural Resource Conservation Service, US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, US Air Force Academy, National Park Service, Colorado Division of Wildlife, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, San Antonio River Authority, CSIRO-Australia, and mining corporations.  Specific areas of emphasis in model development include animal population dynamics, herbivory, predator-prey dynamics, spatial linkages, user interfaces, fate and transport of nutrients and contaminants, and software engineering.

Seventeen years of experience in ecological research and natural resources management. Areas of expertise include ecological modeling, ornithology, wildlife ecology, terrestrial vertebrate population dynamics, threatened and endangered species habitat evaluation and management, geographical information systems (GIS), and statistics.edit .
