CONSULTING AND WORK EXPERIENCE FOR DR. M. J. TRLICA, RANGE PLANT ECOLOGIST

 

Dr. Trlica worked as a laboratory instructor, teaching assistant, and research assis­tant during the years he attended college.  Research exper­ience included work on the shortgrass prairie in Texas and the cold desert ecosystem of Utah. Upon completion of Ph.D. degree requirements at Utah State University in 1970, Dr. Trlica was em­ployed by the Range Science Department at Colorado State Universi­ty.  His employ­ment at CSU has been at the assis­tant, associate, and full professor levels.  He has had numerous research projects involv­ing project administration and personnel management.  Dr. Trlica spent two years as a research advi­sor at the National Range Research Station in Kenya where research projects were established and conducted in the semiarid bushed grassland of Kenya.  Joe Trlica retired from CSU in 2006, but has remained active as a Professor Emeritus with advising of graduate students and research projects.  He is also actively engaged in vegetation monitoring projects in California and Nevada.
